Caiyu's
Story

I'm a determined U16 ski racer born in 2008 and proud to call Sugar Hill, NH, my hometown. I'm a Bretton Woods Race Team member, where I've been shaping my skiing career and chasing my dreams.

My journey into the skiing world has been influenced by my parents, who are dedicated ski coaches. Growing up surrounded by the love for skiing not only made skiing a part of my daily life but has also been instrumental in my development as an athlete. The accessibility to coaching and guidance at home has fueled my love for the sport and developed my skills.

Despite the advantages of having ski coaches as parents, the financial challenges of pursuing my dream of reaching the World Cup still need to be solved. The costs involved in training, acquiring equipment, and traveling for competitions can be overwhelming. It's a journey that requires dedication, hard work, and substantial financial support.

My goals for this season are ambitious and reflect my determination to excel. I aim to clinch victory at the Opa Cup and secure the overall win at U16 Nationals. Beyond national competitions, I'm eager to participate in U.S. Team projects over the upcoming summer and the next season. My commitment is to push myself physically, mentally, and competitively and embrace the philosophy of "lifting as I climb."

As I move forward in my skiing career, I want to contribute positively to the skiing community. I believe in supporting others on their journey to creating a culture where we all uplift each other. My family's philosophy drives this commitment: "lift as I climb."

I am excited about the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead, and I am grateful for the support and encouragement from the skiing community. Despite the financial hurdles, I am hopeful that with the collective support of those who share my passion for skiing, we can overcome these challenges and pave the way for me to realize my World Cup dreams.
