My name is Tanner Perkins and I am an alpine ski racer who grew up in Crested Butte Colorado. I was born in 2001 but did not start skiing until 2007, and I have loved it ever since. My best events tend to be the faster ones, Downhill and Super G, but I can ski some great Giant Slalom and I still absolutely love Slalom.
The past few winters I have trained and traveled predominantly with the Aspen Valley Ski and Snowboard Club. During this time, I have also spent lots of time training with the US Ski Team’s developmental/D-Team group. This past winter was full of personal best results and continued progress, with my highlight being 10th in the US Nationals Super-G at Aspen Highlands.
During the summers I work as an EMT on an Ambulance and also as a structural and Wildland firefighter. I enjoy giving back to my communities and helping others. I am also an avid outdoorsman, bowhunter, fly fisher, runner, biker, you name it. When I have extra time, I spend it out enjoying the amazing mountains that I live in. I look forward to continuing to become better as an athlete, skier, and person throughout the future as I strive to become the best at anything and everything I do, while also supporting my teammates, friends, and coaches around me. Thank you for your support in my pursuit of excellence in life!
